HISTORY OF NEO-ASSAMESE MUSLIMS OF ASSAM AND THEIR CONTRIBUTION TO THE STATE
Abstract
The NeoAssamese Muslims are the latest component of Assamese society.
Most of this category of people came to Assam from different parts
of undivided India during the second half of nineteenth century and
the first half of twentieth century. This study makes an attempt to find
out the history of Neo-Assamese Muslims and their contributions for
the economic development of the state Assam.
