Focus and Scope
The Journal of Northeast Indian Cultures is an endeavour to scientifically record the socio-cultural dynamics of the region's past, present and future. It intends to inform the academic community, researchers, social scientists, policy makers, security analysts and many others about the dynamics of the region. This region has a unique landscape, cultural traits and shares international borders with several South East Asian countries. Northeast India, known for its diversity on all fronts, is encountering numerous challenges and is exploring ways to harness the best of the region for its development.
This international peer reviewed journal will open up Northeast India to larger academic audiences and encourage mutual dialogue and criticism. This will be augmented by workshops, seminars, colloquiums, conferences and symposieums which will be reported in supplementary and special issues of the journal. It is published twice a year.
