MEASUREMENT OF INDOOR RADON AND THORON IN EAST KHASI HILLS DISTRICT OF MEGHALAYA, INDIA

Abstract

Indoor concentrations of radon (²²²Rn) and thoron (²²⁰Rn) were measured (June of 2017 - August of 2017) in sixty (60) houses of three (3) different types (wooden, semi-concrete and concrete) in the selected sites of East Khasi Hill district, Meghalaya, India. Pin-hole based single entrance ²²²Rn/²²⁰Rn discriminating dosimeters with LR-115 Type2 films have been used to measure ²²²Rn and ²²⁰Rn concentrations.
