Optimization of DC Microgrid for Renewable Energy Integration

Risalin Lyngdoh Mairang

Abstract

This paper analyses the possibility to develop in optimizing the utilization of renewable energy sources within microgrids. The renewable wind and solar power generation forecast are aggregated, and it is proposed to support the quantification of the operational reserve and maintain the equilibrium of the microgrid's real-time supply and demand. One potential solution is a microgrid that can be vertically integrated with high-rise buildings which are frequently encountered in urban areas.
